Questions Answered

What does "Rlx Coffee" mean?

For us, a great cup awakens the mind. It's a moment to pause, Relax, reflect, and let your thoughts wander. Our name celebrates that quiet spark of creativity.

Where are you located?

We're a small roasting operation based in Los Angeles County, California. We currently sell online and occasionally through pop-ups or local events. Follow us for updates.

How do you roast your coffee?

We roast in small, personal batches to ensure freshness, consistency, and attention to detail. Every roast is crafted with care, guided by curiosity and a love for a great cup.

Where do your beans come from?

We source high quality green coffee beans from trusted importers who work closely with farmers around the world. Our goal is to highlight the natural character of each origin.

How fresh is your coffee?

All our beans are roasted to order or in very small batches. Each batch is immediately packaged in aluminum cans to seal in freshness, whether whole bean or ground, and includes a roast date so you always know exactly when it was roasted.

How should I store my coffee?

Because we ship the coffee in aluminum cans that lock in freshness, we recommend transferring your beans into an airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture as soon as it's opened.

Why metal cans?

You probably noticed we’ve traded the standard plastic bag for a hermetically sealed metal can. It’s a bit different, but at Rlx, we believe the path to a perfect cup should be as smooth as the coffee itself.

We’ve tested every method—from glass to plastic—and nothing protects your beans like this. While plastic bags can let flavor slip away in just a month, our cans lock in those complex aromas for three months or more by blocking out the enemies of freshness: light and oxygen.

It’s also about peace of mind. Metal is lightweight, durable, and one of the most recyclable materials on the planet. It’s a win for your morning ritual and a win for the Earth. So go ahead, start the brew, and just Rlx. (Morning or evening... we don't judge.)

Is $aluminum > $plastic bag?

Yes! Aluminum packaging costs at least 3x more than plastic bags. However, we keep our prices competitive with other artisan roasters by absorbing that extra cost ourselves. For us, peak coffee quality matters far more than a slightly higher profit margin.
