Our Story
At Rlx Coffee, our journey began with a simple curiosity: why was it so hard to find truly fresh, thoughtfully roasted coffee? Living in Los Angeles, surrounded by creativity and constant motion, we wanted a cup of coffee that matched that energy: vibrant, alive, and inspiring.
When we couldn’t find it, we decided to create it.
Our roasting adventure started humbly in a kitchen with a popcorn roaster and a bag of green coffee beans. The early attempts were far from perfect, and for a moment, the spark faded. But everything changed in 2021 when we discovered better brewing methods and equipment. Suddenly, the potential inside each bean became clear. With better tools and a renewed sense of possibility, we upgraded to a small personal roaster and finally unlocked the flavor profile that felt to us like a balanced, expressive roast.
We shared our beans with friends and family, and their excitement pushed us forward. What began as a personal experiment grew into a small roasting business dedicated to crafting intimate, small‑batch coffee with intention and care.
